What should be paid attention to when cutting glass with different thicknesses?

The method of cutting glass with glass cutting sheet: glass is an indispensable building material in daily life. The main material for lighting and windproofing is now widely used in different functions such as indoor lighting, office buildings, bathroom decoration, and bathrooms. So how does the glass cutting blade perform the correct cutting work?

In the glass cutting process, our main method is to select the cutting according to the thickness of the glass

1. Cut 2-3mm thick flat glass

To cut flat glass with a thickness of 2-3m, a 2mm x 12mm thin wooden ruler can be used. First measure the size of the glass, and determine the cutting size on the ruler. Consider leaving a 3mm gap and a 2mm knife edge. When cutting, you can place the dimensioned side against the glass side. The glass knife is close to the other end of the ruler, and the edge of the blade should be drawn straight back, and there should be no serious bending.

2. Cut 4-6mm thick glass

The method of cutting 4-6mm thick glass is basically the same as the above, but because the glass is thick, it must be held accurately and firmly when cutting, and the force should be even. Another cutting method is to use a 4mm × 50mm ruler, and the glass knife is cut close to the ruler. When cutting, brush some kerosene on the cut in advance to make it easy to pull off the cut after oil seeps.

3. Cut large pieces of glass with a thickness of 5-6mm

The method of cutting large pieces of glass with a thickness of 5-6mm is the same as cutting with a 5mm×40mm ruler. However, the large glass area is large and cannot be cut by people standing on the ground. Sometimes it is necessary to stand on the glass to cut. Before cutting, a flannel must be placed on the worktable to make the glass evenly pressed. The plate is off, and the whole piece of glass cannot be broken due to carelessness.
